Join Panther Sports Club For In House Softball!
Panthers in house softball program is built on teaching players the fundamentals of the game. Depending on the age level players are taught the basics of the game from hitting to throwing and catching as well as base running. Younger ages focus on learning these skills, older ages focus on fine tuning them.
Panthers in house softball program consists of four age based divisions that are divided by age as of August 31st. Similar to our travel softball program. Players should be registered based upon your player's age as of August 31st.
8U/Coach Pitch - is an introductory program. Learning fundamentals of the game players are taught the basics of the game from hitting to throwing and catching as well as base running. 50' Bases, coaches pitching to players and on the field to help guide our little ones through the game. No players sit on the bench when their team is on defense. After infield positions are assigned, the rest of the players will play outfield. All players will bat in an inning, once every play has batted the half inning is over and players switch sides. A use of a tee for hitting if necessary. Score and standings will not be kept. Game is played with an 11" soft indoor softball
10U - is an instructional program. Coaches are off the field and the girls get to pitch from 35' and are limited to 3 innings. The bases reach full regulation distance at 60', where they will be for the remainder of their softball careers. This level is where your player will continue to learn the fundamentals. Games are 6 innings long or 1 hour 40 minutes with players placed in a continuous batting order and 10 girls, 4 outfielders instead of 3, take the field in defense. Run rule is the half inning is over once 5 runs are scored or 3 outs are made. Stealing base is now an option with the exception of home on a pass ball/wild pitch. The score and standings will be kept. Game is played with an 11" hard softball
12U - a full recreational fastpitch softball experience starts at this level. Players are going to continue to learn the fundamentals of the game, with the introduction of standard softball rules. Pitchers move to 40' and have inning pitching limits of 4 innings. Games are 7 innings long or 1 hour and 40 minutes, players are placed in a continuous batting order and 9 players take the field. The traditional 3 outfielders take effect at this level. A half inning is over once 6 runs are scored or 3 outs are made. Stealing of all bases is allowed, including home. The score and standings will be kept. Game is played with a 12" hard softball.
14U - a full recreational fastpitch softball experience starts at this level. Players are going to continue to learn the fundamentals of the game, with standard softball rules in effect. Pitchers move to 43' and have inning pitching limits of 4 innings. Games are 7 innings long or 1 hour and 40 minutes, players are placed in a continuous batting order. A half inning is over once 6 runs are scored or 3 outs are made. Stealing of all bases is allowed, including home. Metal spikes are allowed at these levels. The score and standings will be kept. Game is played with a 12" hard softball.
