Club Volleyball Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is Club Volleyball?
Panther Sports Club offers a more competitive and advanced training program for players looking to improve their technical skills as well as gain experience playing in high-level tournaments. We differ from in-house volleyball by incorporating outside competition from other local clubs and advanced skill training.
2. When are tryouts for the 2024 season?
August 26, 2023
9am to 11am (8 to 11 years)
11:30am to 1:30pm (12 to 14 years)
August 31, 2023
5pm to 8pm (8 to 11 years)
September 1, 2023
5pm to 8pm (12 to 14 years)
3. How long is the season?
The season will run from January to April 2024.
4. What is the cost and what does it include?
Club Volleyball fee will be $575.00 per player. The cost includes tournament fees, insurance, uniform package, coaches registration, equipment and supplies. A payment plan will be an option available upon player registration after tryouts.
5. Will there be extra fees?
Parents will be responsible for registering their child for a USAV membership to qualify for tournament play.
6. Does everyone make the team that comes to tryouts?
No. Participation in the pre-season clinic and/or tryouts will not be guaranteed a spot on a team.
7. How much travel is involved?
Tournaments will be throughout the Chicagoland area. There may not be overnight travel needed.
8. When and where are practices?
Practice dates and locations will be solidified in December 2023 when teams are selected. In partnership with the Bolingbrook Athletic Council, we will utilize Bolingbrook middle schools and Bolingbrook Park District facilities.
9. Are knee pads mandatory?
YES. Panther Sports Club does not supply knee pads to players.
